Basic and Fence Modes:
Customize the way the GlobalPetFinder can work for you.

Basic Mode: Basic mode is the easiest way for you to use your GlobalPetFinder. In Basic mode , simply dial F-O-U-N-D from your cell phone to get your pets’ location on demand. No Fence settings, no muss no fuss, just your pets location on demand.
*We recommend this mode to maximize the battery life of your GlobalPetFinder.

Fence Mode: Fence mode allows members to set a Fence of virtually ANY size and be alerted as soon as their pet has left that fence. Fences locations are determined by you and are easily changed from our secure Command Center at any time. Up to 5 Fences can be stored into the memory of the GlobalPetFinder. This mode is the most high performance mode of operation.
* GlobalPetFinder may require more frequent recharging if left in this mode for long periods of time.

Contacts:
A Contact is the person who receives the location information from the Globalpetfinder, and can use the FOUND commands. GlobalPetFinder allows members to have 2 Contacts per device.

Example: You may want to assign yourself and a spouse, significant other, child, or vet as an additional contact person to receive your pets location.

* There is no additional charge for the second contact person.

Fences:
GlobalPetFinder allows our members to ‘set fences’. Fence size and location are determined by you. The fence acts as an invisible harmless boundary within which your pet can freely roam. The fence setting is there for the purpose of alerting you AUTOMATICALLY if your pet leaves the yard ( or the boundary you have set). Most people don’t realize the exact moment their pets wander. The GlobalPetFinder can store up to 4 named Fence locations at a time. These settings are easily changed by you when you log into our secure Command Center. Fence settings give you Peace of Mind to know when and where your pet has gone.

Tracking Points:
If you live or travel with your pet in an area where it might be difficult for the GlobalPetFinder to obtain a street address ie. farm, beachfront, woods or any other extremely rural area, you may want to use our Tracking Points feature. Tracking Points allow our members to set one location as a reference point from which the Globalpetfinder will direct you to your pet. The GlobalPetFinder will first try and find an address to direct you to, if it cannot, you will receive your pets location in the form of Distance and Direction from your Tracking Point.
EXAMPLE: If you set a Tracking Point in front of your house, and your pet runs away down the block where there are no street addresses. You will get alerts in the format of “Fido has left and is 50 feet west of Home”, where Home is the name you assigned to that Tracking Point.
*Tracking Points are NOT fences.
