About the globalpetfinder returning ‘wrong’ addresses:
If you have your globalpetfinder at home and it is sending you alerts saying a different address than you are actually at, there is nothing wrong with your globalpetfinder. The reason the globalpetfinder might not always give you your exact street address is not because of the actual device, but just the way the maps are kept in your area. This issue is more likely to happen in more rural and spread out areas. Think of the address that the globalpetfinder tells you as the “real” address, and adjust fences accordingly.

How to use the FOUND command:
Using the FOUND command is an easy 3 step process.

1. Use a cell-phone that has been added as a contact in the command center, and create a text message to FOUND (36863)

2. Put “TRACK PETNAME” in the body of the text message, where PETNAME is type in the name of your pet

3. Send the text message*

That’s it! This will put the globalpetfinder into track mode and you should start receiving alerts in anywhere from 2-10 minutes. Be sure to put a space between ‘Track’ and your pets’ name.

*Standard text messaging rates do apply, consult your cell phone service provider for more details.

NOTE: You can now use the Command Center website to initiate tracking. Please click here for more details.
